Your Consultation
Cosmetic dentist, Dr. Laura Matin and her staff understand that going to the dentist can be a stressful experience. Part of the purpose of your initial consultation is to reassure you as to what your experience will be like in our offices. Dentistry has come a long way in recent years, and you now have more choices, faster and less painful procedures, and more pleasant surroundings than in past years.
Ask your questions
During your initial consultation, Dr. Matin listen to your dental concerns, and what you'd like to change about your smile. She'll answer your questions and explain things that might seem puzzling at first.
She'll also ask you questions about what constitutes the perfect smile for you. After she has a good picture of what you want done, and what needs to be done for your dental health, she'll suggest procedures that will address your dental concerns. You can ask questions about the procedure(s) and make sure you understand the anticipated treatment. Once you decide on your course of treatment, she will explain the procedures in detail.
Your initial consultation is the best time to ask questions but of course, if you think of other questions later, Dr. Matin will be happy to answer them then too.

| Pollen is a Pain |

The seasons are changing, and flowers are blooming. When plants bloom, the pollen arrives. Pollen can have a negative affect on your lower back – or upper back – and teeth. This condition is known as allergic rhinitis, and it can cause your teeth to hurt when you are doing the simplest tasks, such as walking down the stairs or tipping your head back.
If you are suffering from allergic rhinitis, you can take some ibuprofen or an antihistamine as treatment for your sinus issues. You should take this over-the-counter medication for at least 24 hours before you will notice any improvement in your condition.
