I was born and raised in Boise, Idaho where I received my Bachelors in Health Care Management and received my CDA in dental assisting. Met and married my husband in Oregon and have been the dental field for 25 years. I started out as a dental assistant and then was recruited to work at OHSU with the Senior and Junior dental students as a DAUT for 9 years.
I have also taught dental assisting and expanded dental assisting classes for 3 years. I am a Past President of the Oregon Dental Assistants Association, and Certified CPR Instructor.
We have a son who is finishing his PhD in Nanotechnology and a daughter who has followed me into the dental field and manages a dental office. We love to ski in the winter and bike in the summer. I enjoy the comfort of a good book and knitting special projects. I love my job working with Dr. Matin, she is the best and the rest of the staff are good friends to work and play with. |
