What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a series of clear, plastic aligners that fit over your existing teeth, and slowly and comfortably move the teeth to better-aligned positions. There are three easy steps to your Invisalign treatment.

  1. Schedule an initial appointment with Dr. Matin. She’ll discuss your treatment options and whether or not Invisalign is right for your dental problems. If you and she decide to go ahead with it, she’ll take impressions of your teeth to send to Invisalign.
  2. Invisalign, using 3-D CAD technology will design and create your clear plastic, removable aligners. Each one is custom-made according to Dr. Matin’s plan. They’ll arrive from the lab within a few weeks.
  3. Over the course of your treatment time, you will wear your aligners in the right sequence, at least 22 hours a day. you can take them out to eat, brush and floss, and sometimes for a special occasion when you want to look your best. Every two weeks, you progress to the next set of aligners. Dr. Matin will give you several sets of aligners to use between check-up visits.

When you’ve worn your entire set of aligners, your Invisalign clear braces treatment is complete and you can start enjoying your beautiful new smile.
